Sheepy Love

Sheepy Love is the debut EP from Wet Blankets. As people have been asking me what this record sounds like, to the pragmatists I’ve been saying things like – the crisp tightness of The Cars, the cascading hook of “Bonzo Goes to Bitburg”, the hapless energy of those Chad VanGaalen albums, and some of the strain of Bruce Springsteen. To the romantics I’ve been saying things like – the end of summer, the sound between midwestern destinations, the newfound freedom of your first driver’s license…
In truth, I think this album sounds like a pretty good balance between all of those things. It doesn’t require a huge leap to get into this album, and Wet Blankets are not going to ask you to check your skepticism at the door. To me, that’s the appeal of this EP. It’s easy, but it’s thoughtful, and that’s kinda how I want my life to be.

Limited edition of 200. One-Sided 12″ EP on colored vinyl. Jackets hand-screened by the band. Includes a coupon to download the entire album in MP3 format.
